Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Quitter (listed on the App Store as "Quitter: Better Me") ("the App", "we", "us"), developed by AppSweat, handles your information. Quitter helps you quit addictions, so we treat what you log as deeply personal and keep it on your device.

The short version: Quitter needs no account. Your quit dates, urges, relapses, journal entries and settings are stored on your device. We run no servers that collect or read them, and we don't use advertising or cross-app tracking.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not ask you to create an account or sign in.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts or location.
We do not receive the addictions you track, your streaks, triggers, relapse logs, pledges or notes.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

To work, the App stores the following on your device:

The addictions you track, quit dates, costs and goals.
Daily pledges and reviews, urge and relapse logs, triggers and your if-then plans.
Your Content Shield list of blocked websites and keywords.
App preferences, language and reminder settings.

This data stays on your device unless you turn on iCloud sync (see below).

3. iCloud Sync (Optional)

If iCloud is available on your device, the App can sync your data between your own devices through your personal iCloud account. That data is stored by Apple in your private iCloud space; it is not sent to us and we cannot read it. Apple's handling of iCloud data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

4. Permissions We Request

Notifications: for your daily pledge, evening review, milestone and risky-hour reminders. Optional, and you can turn them off at any time in iOS Settings.
Safari Content Blocker: Content Shield uses Apple's Safari content blocking feature. The blocking rules run inside Safari on your device; we do not see the sites you visit.

5. Purchases & Subscriptions

Quitter Pro is sold as an in-app subscription or purchase processed by the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details. To validate and restore purchases we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for details.

6. Third-Party Services

Apart from Apple (App Store and iCloud) and RevenueCat (purchase validation), the App does not include third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs, and none of these services receive the content you log.

7. Data Security

Your data lives in the App's protected storage on your device, so its security also depends on your device's protection. We recommend using a device passcode or Face ID / Touch ID.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

You are in control. You can delete entries inside the App, and deleting the App removes its local data from your device. If you used iCloud sync, you can manage or remove that data from iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud. There is nothing for us to delete on our side because we never received it.

9. Children's Privacy

Quitter is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
