Privacy Policy

WHSTL ("we," "our," or "the app") is a dog-training utility developed by AppSweat. This policy explains what information WHSTL handles, where it is stored, and when limited purchase information may leave your device.

The short version: WHSTL requires no account, contains no advertising or analytics SDK, and does not upload your dog profiles, photos, notes, reminders, or training history. Core training features work offline.

1. Information stored on your device

WHSTL stores the information you choose to create inside the app in its private iOS container:

Dog profiles, including names, optional photos, notes, and preferred whistle or clicker settings.
Custom whistle presets and training-program progress.
Training-session history, including timing, cue and click counts, completed steps, and notes.
Local reminder schedules and app preferences.
A temporary checkpoint for an active training session so unexpected termination does not erase its history.

This information is not uploaded to servers operated by AppSweat. If your device backup settings include app data, Apple may include it in your personal iCloud or device backup under Apple's terms and controls.

2. Photos

If you choose to add a dog photo, WHSTL uses Apple's system photo picker. The selected image is copied into the app's private local storage. WHSTL does not upload the image. Dog profiles work without photos.

3. Purchases and RevenueCat

WHSTL Pro is processed by Apple's App Store. WHSTL uses RevenueCat to retrieve offerings, process purchase status, restore purchases, and manage entitlement access. When you open the paywall, purchase, or restore, Apple and RevenueCat may process:

Purchase and receipt information, product identifiers, and entitlement status.
An anonymous app user identifier.
Limited device, operating-system, app-version, and storefront information needed to provide purchase services.

AppSweat does not receive your payment-card details, Apple ID password, dog profiles, dog photos, notes, or training history through this process. See Apple's Privacy Policy and RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4. Notifications

WHSTL requests notification permission only when you enable and save a reminder. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Denying permission does not affect the whistle, clicker, profiles, routines, or history.

5. Diagnostics

WHSTL contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDK. The app uses Apple's local unified logging for technical diagnostics and does not intentionally log dog names, notes, photos, or identifiers. If you enable Apple's optional sharing of analytics with developers, Apple may provide AppSweat with diagnostic or crash information under Apple's privacy controls.

6. Tracking and advertising

WHSTL does not track you across apps or websites, show third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use data for targeted advertising. It does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission.

7. Your controls

Export your data: WHSTL can create a readable local JSON file that you decide whether and where to share.
Delete local data: Settings can remove dogs, sessions, progress, reminders, photos, and preferences and cancel scheduled notifications.
Photo and notification access: You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Purchase information: Contact us to request assistance concerning the anonymous RevenueCat identifier, subject to legal and technical retention requirements.

8. Children's privacy

WHSTL is a general-audience utility for dog owners and trainers and is not directed to children under 13. AppSweat does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data security and retention

Local information is protected by the security controls of your device and the iOS app sandbox. Local data remains until you delete it, use the in-app deletion control, or remove the app. Purchase records may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat as required to provide purchases, prevent fraud, and comply with law.

10. International privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection. Because AppSweat does not host your dog-training content, those records can be managed directly on your device. For purchase-related requests, contact us using the address below.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes to WHSTL, service providers, or legal requirements. The date at the top will identify the current version.
