- Forensic examination. Someone with the right tools and physical access to your phone can find an installed app and its data. The disguise defeats a curious person, not an investigator.
- Copies elsewhere. If the photo is in your cloud backup, your messages, or on a laptop, moving the local copy changes nothing.
- Losing the phone. On-device storage means no cloud copy. That is the point, and it is also the risk.
- Being made to unlock it. No app can help there.
